My 'new' laptop at work

When I was told I was getting a laptop at work, this is not what I expected.  It does turn on, I can work on it, but if it were up to me I'd like my desktop back.  Apparently I'm first in line for the new laptops when they come in. Oh well, it gets the job done and that's all that really matters.

This is Heather's miniature rose bush. It was cheap little plant at the grocery store but I figured she would like it. She did, and now it has sprouted longer branches and four new buds. So far it's doing really well. We'll see what the winter does to it.
  

Moth on the lobby glass at work

Didn't get the camera out today but managed to snap this picture of a huge moth I saw this afternoon. I was inside in the cool air while it roasted outside.

I'm finally getting back into photography after being away from it for a while. I snapped this picture of Heather while just experimenting with the sepia mode. I kept her eye in focus and blurred the rest of the picture in Picasa. Not bad I don't think.

Today sucked, rain all day. I didn't get out to take a pic and I was too busy fixing this pos computer to get any inside today. I found this pic from a recent quest for sea glass. Kinda funny that it's called sea glass and I was at Lake Michigan. Anyway, this is nice little park that I found right on the lake. There are a ton of these small shells piled up on the beach. Seems like every wave brings in another half a ton. That's all for now, laundry's almost done.

Caity's fun at the water fountain

Me and Caity were going for a walk the other day and I thought she would like the water fountain down by the Marina. I was right, she loved it! It's amazing what a little bit of water will do for a toddler. Guess next time I'll take her bathing suit. By the way this is my first attempt at blogging. I just realized the how nice the google's photo editing program is. It's called Picassa2, I highly recommend it. My goal is to add a new picture every day. I want to take a photo a day for a year then look back see how it turned out.
